I talk about work a lot. How to do this, that or the other. I rarely talk about what i do in my spare time. That is probably because I have very little spare time to do anything other than work. So, I thought today maybe we could all talk about what we like to do when we are not working on art or photography or junking, etc.
I like to restore old cars. Currently I have a 1966 Ford Fairlane and a 1951 Nash Ambassador. Both are in need of my time. I am hoping g this winter and spring I can dedicate some time to them both. I also like to go fishing. I guess I do not have a lot of other hobbies. Those two could easily take up all of my time.
Tell me about what you like to do in your spare time.
Er, what spare time?

Shoot photography for fun, not to sell.
Hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Do yoga.
Antique browsing.
Read.
I do fit a little reading in.
> Er, what spare time?
ReplyDeleteLOL!
I love to read, design new costumes, and write fiction - high fantasy, preferably. :-)
I spend a lot of time with my son, but, when I'm not doing that, I love doing fun little DIY projects, watching movies, spending time with family, and going for walks.
ReplyDeleteI get my kicks cruising yard sales for vintage jewelry and walking the beach but would give anything for a few hours to finish the book that's been gathering dust on my nightstand. Okay, back to sewing.
ReplyDeleteI like to walk and play with our dogs. Also like to work in the yard. I'd call it gardening, but it's really kind of just running damage control. Also like to work on home renovation projects with my husband. Other than that I'm not to good about making time for hobbies but would like to change that. Haven't embroidered since a kid and would like to pick up that again and maybe learn to knit.
ReplyDeleteReading, estate sales, yard sales, computer games, trying to improve my collage skills. Oh, and can't forget the occasional trip to get a cinnamon roll ... oh, I mean visit the casino. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy husband LOVES fishing Eric! You two should go together :) He fishes for muskies. Big monsters more than fish if you ask me. 50 inches or more!
ReplyDeleteI love to read and COOK. We've just recently gone gluten free over here and the quality of our meals sky rocketed, everything's so yummy and good for us too! And I'm with Miss LC... I like to do DIY projects too.
I agree with Deb, I thought "Spare Time" was a fantasy world for people who have a life!
ReplyDeleteIf ia do find a moment or two they go to my grandkids and my doodle and of course my husband!
Ahh, that little space called "spare time"...
ReplyDeleteWell when I do have time, I love spending it with my family and friends, traveling in and out of town, taking pictures (for fun), crocheting, oh and of course SHOP! :D
I do have a hard time stopping for sure! I'm happiest when I'm busy. I do a lot of volunteer work at our church. I love spending time with our one-year old granddaughter. I love to go treasure hunting - which I could do 24/7.
